Nickolas G. Mitilenes is a seasoned executive who has built a career at the intersection of science, strategy, and impact. His leadership spans some of the most dynamic corners of healthcare, from pandemic-era diagnostics to cutting-edge health tech.

As Vice President and General Manager of the Pandemic Response Laboratory at Opentrons, Nick managed a $60M+ multi-state operation, leading over 250 employees in the delivery and evolution of high-throughput infectious disease testing. 

Prior to that, he held multiple president-level roles at Eurofins Clinical Diagnostics, where he unified maternal-fetal and pediatric genetics services and drove initiatives that modernized bioinformatics and lab IT infrastructure. His earlier success as President and COO of MedLabs Diagnostics saw him scale the business into a $30M enterprise, increasing EBITDA by $7M and securing a $45M private equity exit.

Nick's entrepreneurial side is equally impactful. He co-founded Hatchleaf, a health AI platform improving outpatient care through partnerships with leading institutions like Johns Hopkins and Northwell Health. At Innoterix Labs, he brought to market novel self-collection diagnostics targeting environmental and vector-borne illnesses.

At the core of his work is a focus on cross-functional collaboration, data-driven decision-making, and building resilient, future-ready health systems. His leadership is backed by a strong academic foundation: a AB in Molecular Biology from Colgate, an MS in Healthcare Leadership from Weill Cornell Medicine, and an MBA from Cornell University. He is also an ASCP-certified Diplomate in Laboratory Management and a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Currently pursuing his DrPH in Healthcare Management & Leadership at Johns Hopkins, Nick remains active in public service as a member of the Mendham Township Board of Health. He lives in New Jersey with his family and is deeply committed to health equity, lifelong learning, and the responsible advancement of healthcare AI.
